Why do the British police, army and sheep dog triallers not need to use cruel electric shock collars ?

To train their animals.

Is it because conventional training, though the most labour intensive, produces massively superior results?

Are electronic shock collars just a torture device for lazy people, who cannot be bothered with correct training regimes?

Having trained police dogs for 30 years, having worked them and having competed at the HIGHEST levels of dog training, I know for a FACT that NO DOG is EVER proofed without the use of compulsion. That means an E collar for these type of dogs, but, since you and your “kind” seem to know so much and are such “experts” in dog training, why not tell me how you go about proofing a dog for police work?

As far as the quality of police dogs there….yeah, I have seen them first hand…nothing I would ever want to work on the street!!
