Gps Dog Collars Tracking Systems

GPS Tracking for Dogs?

I’m looking for some general information about what GPS systems are available – and some specific information about which system would work best for my dog.

I own a Boxer. The dog is living in the country – which means street names and such are not always going to come into play (the dog’s position may be “200 ft into the woods). Also, the dog is indoor/outdoor, so if the system depends on a collar, I’m worried about weather, humidity, moisture and such – how much does this effect the system?

Are there collar systems and chip system? And is there any clear advantage/problems to either?

I don’t know much about them but they look interesting. I do know of a couple of companies here

Some allow you to even call your dog (receiver on the collar) and call your dog. Now, how he would find you after that (other than looking at his collar) i’m not sure but they do seem like a great solution if your dog ever got lost.
