Gentle Leader Dog Collar Instructions
Are dogs supposed to be able to get out of those gentle leader things?
I tried taking my dog for a walk with it the other day and *somehow* she managed to wriggle out of it and bolted off halfway down the street to smell a palm tree of all things. Occasionally when she gets away from me it’s because she slips out of her collar, but I thought for sure she wouldnt be able to get out of that gentle leader thing, but she did. I want to continue using it cause it really did miracles for her pulling….but I also don’t want her to be able to slip out of it at will.
Was it just not tight enough? I followed the instructions carefully when putting it on, but I’m always afraid of hurting her so it might have been too loose. If I put it tighter will she still be able to get out of it?
back up the leader thing with a leash until she stays in the gentle leader.
