Gentle Leader Dog Collar Dogs
Is it bad to leave the gentle leader on my dog while he is indoors?
See, my 1 year old labrador is very naughty and we have had professional trainers come, but they tell us to use choke chains and bark collars. We use the gentle leader when we walk him and it works well. It also makes his attitude change and he becomes a calm, submissive dog. Is it ok to leave the gentle leader on while he is indoors (which is about 50% of the day)?
Also when outside with my brother he tries to “Attack him” by mouthing and jumping up on him, which has caused scars. He used to do this to everybody in the family, but now only my brother. He does it maybe once every great while. I think it is because he thinks me and my mom are alpha’s while my brother is below him. What are tricks for my brother to become alpha? BTW: We are both 13.
I don’t think excercise is an issue because he gets walked/runs twice everyday.
And yes he is on leash which i am holding
I wouldnt leave the gentle leader on him indoors unless he is on a leash and tied to you because it could get cought on somethin and hurt his nose. Also if he doesnt have the habit of pawing it off his nose that is a great way to teach it to him. not a good Idea.
Try having your brother do all the feeding and make sure your brother walks though doors or down stair before the dog. Also you can have your brother teach him something and give him commands each day.
If none of this helps make your brother eat something in the dogs bowl before you feed him each day. I know that sounds gross but it works
Good luck email me if you have any questions!!!
