Dog Collars Vibration
Has anyone used the training collar that vibrates?
I despise the use of shock collars, but have a male shiba inu who about once a day just freaks out on my cat. I have trained him otherwise to respect the cat, and have even taught him “leave it” which works when he just wants to chase the cat playfully. He is aggresive with other dogs and has been trained to behave on walks when he encouters other pets. Would the vibration from the collar be enough to avert him when he goes for the cat? Usually he does it when he is in the same room with me and the cat comes into that room. He gets jealous that the cat will want attention from me so he flips out. Any advice? I don’t want to hear any abuse either because other than this one issue he is a very well trained, polite little dog.
Is the freaking out aggressive, playful or predatory? If it’s predatory I don’t think the collar will be interesting enough to distract him.
If it’s aggressive be careful with the shock collar as he might interpret the pain as having been inflicted by the cat and attack it more.
