To Be Or Not To be?

I moved into my new place and about 3 weeks later a chocolate lab wondered on to my property I have always wanted a dog but I cant find his owners he has a collar but when I looked up the tags he was registered to my property and the owners have moved to calgary Im in ontario. The problem is I dont know if someone else is taking care of him. I dont want to steal someones dog but he stays here 4-5 nights a week. what do I do his tags are out of date and Id like to take him to get his shots being that he plays with my kids.

It’s not unheard of for a dog to travel thousands of miles to get “home”. I think you should try to contact his owners in Canada – They might be worried sick about him and desperately want him home.
