dog collar messing up dogs fur?

where ever my dogs collar is its messing his fur up its a nylon collar i can fit my whole hand between his neck and the collar hes a rotty 4 months
um no your dog should have a collar with i.d tag on at all times.
hes far way to young for chain collar my brother has told me he needs to be athlest 13 months old for a chain collar
