Dog Walking Problem?

I just got my 10 week american bulldog about a week ago, and i put is collar on and he keeps on scratching at it. When i take him for a walk he’ll walk for a little bit and then sits down for a while and gets up on his own time. How do i train him to walk on a leash and walk properley. i’ve tried giving him treats but that hasn’t helped and also he keeps biting his leash.

read up on this site, maybe even buy his DVDs… http://www.dogpsychologycenter.com/
he has a special dog collar on here to teach the dog to walk properly.
Also you have ot show your dog YOUR THE BOSS. Dogs, like wolves, follow in packs, you have to be the pack leader so when you walk he walks…. not when he stops you stop. BIG NO NO to let your dog know that youll do whatever he wants you to do. Trust me I have a wheaten terrier who was so afraid to walk at 3 months. He would walk , but then sit and be like WHY ARE YOU PULLING ME. If you read my previous questions Ive posted youll see what I meant. he hated going out. It passes with time. Just take him outside and walk around in nice place and GIVE TREATS when he does well. DONT EVER PICK HIM UP (unless in danger),,,, good luck, he will want to walk once he learns that the leash and collar are his friend. Also try a harness, your dog will be BIG and STRONG,,,, youll want good control, a collar can cause tracheal damage if he pulls too much!
