Dog Collars Embroidery
I Want to start selling friendship bracelets and what nots…?
~ Just curious- I need opinions on if I could actually make some money at this, like is there a real demand for these? I’m thinking of online and possibly at a flea market. I’ve got a full time job- its just not enough. I can make the fancy, pretty ones out of embroidery floss. Also key chains, clip-on hair wraps (I can make the real ones too, that don’t clip on as well- @ flea market or maybe by appointment?), purse zipper pulls, cat/dog collars, etc. I’m thinking on charging like 2-3 bucks for the nice tie on bracelets, 5-10 for the fancy, more intricate bracelets w/ clasps, but haven’t really set that part up just yet. Would you buy one? Any opinions help! ~
Check how long it takes you to make them.
The bracelets I make take so long that I would end up earning about 1/4 or less of what my boss is paying me. So I better work some more hours there.
Cat and dog collars and leads pay better, specially if you have fancy ones for show dogs and can sell them at the dog shows, but every now and again I hear from people that sold a few. (I know a lot of knot tyers.)
I find that ear rings and necklaces do better than bracelets, also because there is a big trade from the cheap labor countries importing the bracelets.
You might hit a good market by making simple (15 minutes of work) bracelets in the local sport team colours.
But do not forget to make also earrings and necklaces.
