Is this breed the right for me?

Well I’m getting a new puppy and I wanted to make sure I’m headed in the right direction as far as the right breed. He’s going to be a puppy and he will be about 12 weeks old with all his vaccinations and papers. I already set up his vet appointment to make sure he will be okay. I bought everything from his bed, crate, food, shampoo, towels, blankets, leash, collar, and dog ID tag (name will be little Rico). He will be a miniature Schnauzer.
A little bit about me, I like small dogs (not toy breeds) but dogs that are anywhere between 10-25lbs. I like dogs that can go on long walks with me, and sometimes on a morning jog. I like smart dogs that are quick on their feet. I plan on putting him in classes and everything. I don’t mind taking him to get groomed every 6 or 8 weeks. I like dogs I can play with, be lazy and sleep with me sometimes in my bed. A good watch dog as well. I was wondering am I going in the right direction with a miniature Schnauzer?

yes you will have the perfect dog they love to run they are very playful but will also chill with you in your bed they are not the smartest in the world but it makes them cute and funny and i think thats the kind of dog you would like overall so i think you made a good choice have fun with little rico and if you ever think about getting further dogs these breeds will be good
