Dog Collar Tags Uk
Does my dog’s tag have to have my address on it?
I remember reading somewhere that by law in the UK, my dog’s collar tag has to include my address, did I read it correctly or is that not the case? also, what information would you recommend I include on the tag? I’m going to get one of these….

and as you can see there’s a lot of space I can fill, what do you recommend? Thanks.
On our tags we put the dogs name, home and cell numbers and the town. We do not put the whole addy on the tag.
Besides your dog should have his rabie tag on and it has the vets phone and addy there already and they can contact you also if your pet is found. It is wise to keep both the rabie and name tag on your pet. Check the S hook form time to time to make sure it does not worm it’s was open and lose any tags.
There are also name plates that you can put right on your dogs collar, that may be something to look at too.
EDIT” Since you are getting a tag for your dog that has been micro-chipped, would just put your dogs name, your phone and town. If found by someonoe else they can get hold of you. If taken to the vet or a shelter all they will have to do is scan your dog and will know your name and addy right away. ( make sure you register your dogs chip number)
