Dog Collar Metal Clasp

Can you think of a tangle-free clasp for my dog’s chain collar?

I bought a snake chain show collar for my Standard Poodle. I don’t want it to be a choke collar, since I don’t attach his leash to it. Can anyone think of a clasp type I could use that won’t snag or tangle his hair?

I plan on having a jeweler or metal worker change the clasp for me to make sure it’s done right. I just need to know what to ask for.
Cool, I didn’t know that. It will save me a lot of trouble to just loop the collar differently. :)

I do use a slip lead on him, just like the one in the picture. His collar is only for looks, and holding his tags.

There is a way to loop a chain collar so that it is locked and won’t tighten, no special clasp required. Instead of putting the chain through one ring, but both rings together and put the chain through both at once. Now the collar will not tighten.

Of course, you would not leave a chain collar on the dog when he is unattended, locked or not.
