Is it bad to put items on my Bible?

I have a Bible that was given to me. It’s the only one I have and I’ve read some of it and then put it on my bed-side table, where it has been for God knows how long. I place anything on it from my dog’s collar to my plates of food!

I think that if you don’t intend to disrespect god, no harm done, but depending on ones perspective, one might feel that it is disrespectful. I would suggest moving it to a cleaner place, just because it is religious text.

Beware of who wanders into your room, however, because someone may look down upon you for those actions.
