What takes care of fleas outside?

I have two dogs outback and they just recently got fleas from the dogs next door…does anyone know a good product that works? I have tried a couple from the store and i really dont want to hire someone to do it…and also what can i spray in the garage bc we have a rap around garage and the dogs are in their when it is cold….i do give my dogs a bath every week with flea shampoo and leave it on them for five mins like the instructions say….they have flea collars…any help please…

Flea collars & flea shampoo does nothing & a waste of money & time. Buy either Frontline or Advantage from your vet or on-line or at a store. You can use a hose end spray for mosquitoes to treat yard or use a granulated insect control – both will kill fleas. You might do better with the spray as you get to areas like under shrubs, deck, etc easier plus spray along the neighbor’s yard. You will clean out the garage well & wash any bedding with bleach on a regular basis. It is constant battle & can’t be treated once & never again.
