My dog was just spayed..do i need a cone collar?

my dog was spayed today and has been sleeping on and off all day, im going to class tonight for about three hours and had bought a giant cone collar but she hasnt been licking her tummy or trying to at all, and id rather not put that uncomfortable thing on..i guess it seems common sense now that i explained it but do you guys think its fine to not put it on tonight?

I wouldn’t consider getting a cone collar at first, but if your dog is biting at the stitches it could cause the stitches to break which could lead to bleeding and infection. So if you’re dog begins to bite at the stitches I would say you’re safe without one.
