Dog Collar Flashlight
Stray pitbulls in my neighborhood: can we shoot them if they attack?
Last night, I came home from running some errands with my boy and my babby, to find my man standing on the porch with a baseball bat and cops in our yard with flashlights.
Why?
Because he was standing on the porch, when a stray pitbull with a choke collar tried to viciously attack him. We have had A LOT of problems in my area with people breeding these dogs for fighting purposes, and then being totally irresponsible with them, mostly turning them loose on the streets when their novelty wears off.
This has happened before in my area, and I don’t doubt that it will happen again. It bothers me because I am often alone with my kids, and could hardly fight off an attacking dog even if I didn’t have a babby in my arms.
We have a shotgun. I don’t usually have it on me, but would I have the right to use it to kill a dog that attacked us on our property? Any other ideas?
I love dogs and I hate to have to ask this question, but my families’ safety comes first.
First let me say that am so sad when I see Pitbulls that people turned into monsters. I have 2 and they are the sweetest things in the world…my kids pull there ears and poke there eyes and they just get up and walk away…
As for shooting them…I say go for it…it’s either those vicious animals or your family…I think that if you shoot a gun in city limits but your doing it to protect your family it’s okay…Also I hope that those people that did that to those dogs burn in an ever tormenting state of hell forever!!!!!
