Whats the best way to stop a dog from humping other dogs?
I have a male dog that isn’t neutered (He is being shown) and we like to go to the dog park. He is fine around dogs that he knows, but new dogs to the park he always tries to hump them. I run over and stop him, and since he will keep trying, we usually go home at that point. Would a remote collar be a decent option to try and stop him from doing this? He doesn’t pay attention to commands once he starts humping so he has to be pulled off of the other dogs.
He normally doesn’t display any dominant behaviors, he can be pretty submissive and he always gets along with everyone, its just rude and I’m afraid that he’s going to try and hump a mean dog one of these days.

I am not neutering him, he is a show dog. You cannot neuter dogs that are shown in AKC competitions. He already has 3 points towards his title.
i would say to keep him on a leash at the park. i know that in dog shows they can’t be neutered/spayed. my mom used to show dogs. siberian huskies to be exact.
