Dog Collar Damage

Can a dog’s microchip be dislodged by scratching?

My dog is chipped. She completely enjoys a very vigorous scratching or rubbing under her collar and along her back. It occurred to me that her chip is under her skin – can the rubbing or scratching move it or damage it in anyway?

No not really, once a microchip is placed under the skin it is there permananelty. It can move to different locations under the skin, but it shouldn’t dislodge.
